Experience top British satire live at Apollo Theatre with I'm Sorry Prime Minister tickets. Ideal for fans of smart political comedy.
Jim Hacker and Sir Humphrey are back! Griff Rhys Jones and Clive Francis star in I'm Sorry, Prime Minister – the hilarious final chapter from the BAFTA-winning creators of Yes, Minister. Book tickets at Apollo Theatre for this limited West End run.
From Jonathan Lynn, the BAFTA Award-winning co-creator of Yes, Minister and Yes, Prime Minister, comes the long-awaited conclusion to one of Britain's most beloved comedy franchises. This sharply observed satire offers a fitting farewell to two of British comedy's most enduring characters.
Jim Hacker – once the most powerful man in Britain – is now retired and seeking a quiet life at Oxford's Hacker College (yes, named after himself). But peace eludes him when a rebellious College Fellowship and student body threaten to evict him, unimpressed by his past glories.
In desperation, he turns once again to his old sparring partner Sir Humphrey Appleby. But political manoeuvring isn't what it used to be, and the world they once ruled has moved on. Can Sir Humphrey's love of bureaucracy, Latin phrases and well-timed obstruction save the day? Or will he finally have to say "I'm sorry, Prime Minister..."?
National treasure Griff Rhys Jones brings warmth and exasperation to the ever-flustered Hacker, while acclaimed actor Clive Francis (Bridgerton, The Crown) delivers a masterclass in sly manipulation as the unflappable Sir Humphrey. The full cast includes William Chubb as Sir David, Stephanie Levi-John as Sophie, alongside Princess Donnough, Eliza Walters, Jeremy Rose, Robert Kitson and Dominic McChesney.
This is a rare chance to see two masters of political comedy spar live on stage. Packed with verbal fireworks, sly contemporary commentary and impeccable performances, it's a joyous farewell to a comedy institution. Whether you're a lifelong fan of Hacker and Humphrey or discovering them for the first time, don't miss this unmissable West End event.
