Ralph Fiennes gives 'the performance of a true star – focused, luminous, magnetic' as Sir Henry Irving, the greatest actor of the Victorian age, in David Hare's new play about Irving and Ellen Terry. Fresh from a sell-out season at Theatre Royal Bath.
Grace Pervades tells the extraordinary story of Henry Irving and Ellen Terry, the greatest stars of the Victorian stage, and Ellen's troubled and brilliant children – Edith Craig and Edward Gordon Craig – who made their own profound contribution to the development of British theatre.
For Irving the drama was everything. For Terry it was incidental to the richness of her life. Their celebrated partnership – on and off the stage – changed the theatre forever. Book Grace Pervades tickets at Theatre Royal Haymarket!
Ralph Fiennes (Conclave, Harry Potter, James Bond) gives a career-defining performance as Sir Henry Irving, the first actor ever to be knighted. Miranda Raison (Spooks) plays Ellen Terry, the most loved and highest paid actress in England. Director Jeremy Herrin and a stellar creative team of Olivier Award-winning talent bring this incredible story to vivid life.
Following a sell-out season at Theatre Royal Bath, this 'fascinating, absorbing and very funny' (Financial Times) play transfers to the West End.
Fans of theatrical history and David Hare's plays may also enjoy other biographical dramas in the West End.
Cancellation policy: theatre tickets cannot be cancelled, exchanged, or refunded once purchased.

Sir Henry Irving (1838-1905) was the greatest actor of the Victorian age and the first actor to be knighted. He was also a celebrated theatre manager at the Lyceum Theatre.
Dame Ellen Terry (1847-1928) was the most acclaimed actress of her era and Irving's leading lady at the Lyceum for over 20 years.
The title comes from a scathing Victorian review of Ellen Terry that stated 'Grace pervades the hussy' – criticising her for being an unwed mother.
