What is ABBA Voyage?

ABBA Voyage is a groundbreaking concert experience featuring digital avatars of ABBA performing their greatest hits. Using cutting-edge motion capture technology developed with Industrial Light & Magic, the four band members appear on stage as they looked in 1979. It's not holograms – it's something entirely new, and it's as close as you'll get to seeing ABBA live.

How does ABBA Voyage work?

Over five weeks, the real Agnetha, Björn, Benny, and Anni-Frid performed in motion capture suits using 160 cameras. Industrial Light & Magic (Star Wars, Marvel) then created hyper-realistic digital versions of the band as their younger selves. These 'ABBAtars' perform live on stage, accompanied by a 10-piece live band. The result cost $175 million to create.

What songs does ABBA Voyage feature?

The 90-minute concert includes 20 ABBA classics including 'Dancing Queen', 'Mamma Mia', 'The Winner Takes It All', 'Waterloo', 'Fernando', 'Voulez-Vous', and 'SOS'. Is ABBA Voyage worth it?

Critics and audiences overwhelmingly say yes. The Guardian gave it five stars, calling it 'jaw-dropping'. Over two million visitors have experienced the show since it opened in May 2022. The concert generated approximately £1.4 billion for the UK economy. It's a unique experience that transcends traditional concerts.
