The Legend Of Gog Comes To The Lion And Unicorn

The Gog-Magog Project at the Lion and Unicorn Theatre

Touted as ‘bold and daring’, The Gog/Magog Project looks at the mysterious demise of performance artist Alexander Gog.

Fifteen years ago, Alexander Gog began a project that would see him caged for a year in a theatre delivering nightly performances from his cage, but something went awry. Alexander’s one year of incarceration soon became fifteen, as Gog was moved from theatre to theatre, country to country, surviving only on a diet of The Daily Telegraph and Banana-flavoured ‘Moon Pies”.

Billed as an absurdist circus in a cage, The Gog/Magog project is not for the faint-hearted as audiences are invited to travel the myriad labyrinth that forms Gog’s fractured psyche. It’s equal parts indictment, satire and cautionary tale!

The Gog/Magog project is an event shrouded in rumour and supposition and will be presented as a work of fiction due to ongoing legal considerations.

The Gog/Magog Project is written by Jason Lindner and directed by Adam Brummitt.

Gog will be presented at the Lion and Unicorn Theatre by Random Acts Theatre from October 18 – 29.
