Presented in a four-act documentary style with each act showing the viewpoint of one member of the group giving their perspective on the groups history.
Jersey Boys is a jukebox musical with a book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice and music by Bob Gaudio and lyrics by Bob Crewe. The score features all of the big hits from the group including Big Girls Don’t Cry, Sherry, December 1963 (Oh, What A Night), My Eyes Adored You, Stay, Can’t Take My Eyes Off You, Working My Way Back To You and Who Loves You.
Jersey Boys the musical opened on Broadway in 2005 (closing in 2015 after 4093 performances) and subsequently in London at the Prince Edward Theatre in 2008, moving to the Piccadilly Theatre where it closed in 2017. It is due to re-open London’s Trafalgar Theatre in 2021.
Jersey Boys won Best Musical, Best Actor in a Musical, Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Musical and Best Lighting Design at the 2006 Tony Awards, and the 2007 Grammy Award for Best Musical Show Album. The London production won Best New Musical at the 2009 Olivier Awards.

As Jersey Boys nears the end of its impressive run in London’s West End, producers have announced that an extra performance of the show has been added on Thursday 23 March at 3pm. The announcement of an extra performance comes in the same week that Jersey Boys set a new house record for ticket sales in the history of the Piccadilly Theatre.
