London Theatre Week announces one week extension
London Theatre Week, the highly anticipated performing arts celebration spotlighting dynamic musicals and award-winning plays in London’s West End, is extending until 10 Sept.
From her humble start in Nutbush Tennessee through her violent relationship with Ike Turner to be rediscovered with her album Private Dancer – Tina – The Tina Turner Musical charts the highs and lows of the Rock stars life.
Tina – The Musical is directed by Phyllida Lloyd who directed Mamma Mia!, and has script by Katori Hall, Frank Ketelaar and Kees Prins. The jukebox musical had its premiere in 2018 at London’s Aldwych Theatre where it continues to run. The Broadway production opened in November 2019.
Tina – The Tina Turner musical is officially sanctioned by Tina Turner and features songs like Let’s Stay Together, Better Be Good To Me, Disco Inferno, I Can’t Stand The Rain, What’s Love Got To Do With It?, The Best, Proud Mary and Nutbush City Limited amongst many others.

The performance schedule for West End Live 2022 is announced. The two-day event on 25 & 26 June showcases West End theatre productions
The West End production of Tina – The Tina Turner Musical is currently booking at the Aldwych Theatre to 18 December 2022.
Tina the musical has announced that it will re-open at the Aldwych Theatre on 28 July 2021 following over a year of shutdown.
