Olivier Award-Winning Operation Mincemeat Announces Eleventh Extension

The critically acclaimed musical Operation Mincemeat has announced an eleventh extension of its run at the West End's Fortune Theatre, now continuing until 19 April 2025. Following its success, the musical has also confirmed a Broadway debut set for 20 March 2025 at the Golden Theatre in New York.

Operation Mincemeat, winner of the 2024 Best New Musical Olivier Award, began as a modest production at the London Fringe and has evolved into one of the most celebrated musicals on the West End. The show offers a hilarious and moving portrayal of one of the most audacious but true plots of World War II, where British intelligence officers used a deceased man’s body to deceive Nazi forces.

The current West End cast features Emily Barber, Siân Carey, Claire-Marie Hall, Christian Andrews, and George Jennings, under the direction of 2023 Olivier Award nominee Robert Hastie. The show’s unique blend of historical intrigue and ingenious staging continues to attract theatre-goers, ensuring sold-out performances.

Beyond its stage success, Operation Mincemeat has also been adapted into a film, further broadening its impact and bringing its fascinating story to a global audience. The musical's journey from a fringe show to a major theatrical event exemplifies the potential of innovative storytelling in theatre.

Tickets for the extended shows are available from 1 November, with a special ballot system introduced to manage high demand. This extension provides a fantastic opportunity for more audiences to experience this extraordinary production that has already left a significant mark on London’s theatre scene.
