Ore Oduba is set to enchant audiences across the UK as Caractacus Potts in the beloved musical Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. The announcement was made by David Ian for Crossroads Live, revealing that Oduba will join the production starting on 4 March 2025 at the Birmingham Hippodrome. He will then continue to dazzle at various prominent venues, including the Palace Theatre in Manchester and the Bristol Hippodrome, with the tour concluding at the Theatre Royal in Plymouth on 10 May 2025.

Oduba, known for his charismatic presence and versatility, is thrilled to take on this iconic role, previously celebrated for his performances in Pretty Woman and as a winner of Strictly Come Dancing. He will be joined by Liam Fox as Grandpa Potts and Ellie Nunn as Truly Scrumptious, alongside a stellar cast that includes Martin Callaghan, Jenny Gayner, and John Macaulay.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang promises a magical experience with its story of an inventor, Caractacus Potts, who, along with his children and the lovely Truly Scrumptious, embarks on an adventure in a magical car to a far-off land. With unforgettable music and lyrics by Richard M. Sherman and Robert B. Sherman, this production continues to capture the hearts of a new generation.

The production is directed by Thom Southerland, featuring choreography by Karen Bruce, and will include all the classic songs like "Toot Sweets" and "Hushabye Mountain," ensuring that the musical remains a timeless favourite.
