This November, Elf The Musical will bring festive cheer to The Swan Theatre, High Wycombe, featuring one of the UK’s most promising comedy talents, Jordan Conway, as Buddy the Elf. The musical, set to run from 19 to 23 November 2024, follows its sell-out arena tours and record-breaking seasons at The Dominion in the West End.
The production promises a spectacular array of visual effects, including Santa's magical flying sleigh, an audience-involved snowball fight, and a journey on a giant candy cane. These stunning scenes are enhanced by video-film backdrops displayed on a large LED screen, creating a truly immersive experience.
Jordan Conway, fresh from his roles as Charlie Chaplin in the acclaimed comedy play Laurel and Chaplin-The Feud and as Peter Pan opposite Boy George, is excited to bring the iconic character of Buddy to life on his home stage. "Elf is always one of the most popular holiday films, and Buddy The Elf truly is an iconic character, one I am incredibly excited about bringing to life on stage at The Swan," says Conway.
The cast also includes Kelly Benlaki as Jovie, Buddy’s love interest, and Barry Bloxham as his long-suffering dad. Produced and directed by legendary panto and musical comedy producer Jon Conway, Elf The Musical features a book by Bob Martin and Thomas Meehan and an original score by Matt Sklar and Chad Beguelin.
Audiences are encouraged to join in the festive spirit, with many attending in themed attire, adding to the atmosphere of this heart-warming and hilarious night out. The show is a must-see for the holiday season, offering a mix of laughter, special effects, and memorable music.
