2019年托尼奖提名名单今日公布，《冥界》（Hadestown）成为最大赢家，斩获最多提名。杰兹·巴特沃斯（Jez Butterworth）的《摆渡人》（The Ferryman）从伦敦西区转战百老汇后，共获得九项提名。
Hadestown 以14项提名领跑2019年托尼奖提名榜；紧随其后的是点唱机音乐剧《Ain't Too Proud》，这部讲述“诱惑乐队”（The Temptations）的作品获得12项提名。其后分别是《Tootsie》11项、英国引进作品 The Ferryman 9项，以及 Beetlejuice 8项。相比“入围者”，今年的提名更会因为“落选者”而被记住。在戏剧类最佳男主角的角逐中，格伦达·杰克逊（Glenda Jackson）在 King Lear 中的演出，以及内森·连恩（Nathan Lane）在 Gary: A Sequel To Titus Andronicus 中的表现，双双意外未获提名。同样被遗漏的还有《To Kill A Mockingbird》与 Network——两者原本都被看好入围“最佳戏剧”类别。
提名名单于今晨由布兰登·维克托·迪克森（Brandon Victor Dixon）与贝贝·纽维斯（Bebe Neuwirth）共同宣布。
第73届托尼奖颁奖典礼将于2019年6月9日在纽约无线电城音乐厅举行，由詹姆斯·科登（James Corden）担任主持。
