The clock is ticking! Billy Crudup and Denise Gough star in the world premiere stage adaptation of the legendary Western at Harold Pinter Theatre. Book High Noon tickets for Eric Roth's gripping real-time thriller about courage duty and love.
For the first time, one of the most iconic Westerns in cinema history comes to the stage. Marshal Will Kane is newly married to the beautiful Amy Fowler, and they're ready to leave the town of Hadleyville behind. But when Kane learns that Frank Miller, a deadly outlaw he previously sent to prison, is arriving on the noon train, everything changes. As the clock ticks away, Kane faces an impossible choice: walk away with the woman he loves, or stand alone for a violent reckoning.
Written by Oscar Award-winner Eric Roth (Forrest Gump, Dune) and directed by Olivier Award-winner Thea Sharrock (After the Dance), this gripping adaptation unfolds in real time. Originally a searing allegory of Hollywood's blacklist, High Noon explores themes as relevant now as they were then: courage vs. cowardice, justice vs. peace, duty vs. desire. Book High Noon tickets for the theatrical event of the season!
Emmy and Tony Award winner Billy Crudup (The Morning Show) stars as Will Kane, with Olivier Award winner Denise Gough (People, Places and Things, Angels in America) as Amy Fowler. The creative team includes Tony and Olivier Award-winners Tim Hatley (design) and Neil Austin (lighting).
Based on the four-time Oscar-winning 1952 film starring Gary Cooper and Grace Kelly, this world premiere marks Eric Roth's debut as a playwright. Critics have praised its themes that "resonate powerfully today" (The Guardian). Don't miss this strictly limited 11-week season!
