Major Casting Announced for the Return of the Cult Hit Musical
Producers Katy Lipson for Aria Entertainment and John Stalker Productions have confirmed that Alexandra Burke will take on the role of Morticia Addams in the 2025 UK tour of The Addams Family: The Musical Comedy. The tour will open at Birmingham Hippodrome on 10 July 2025, and visit leading theatres across the UK, including stops in Leicester, Salford, Canterbury and Blackpool, with more venues to be announced.
This new production brings the iconic and eccentric Addams family back to the stage in a musical comedy full of gothic charm, dark humour and heartfelt family moments.
A Star-Studded Cast Takes the Stage
Burke, known for her acclaimed West End roles in The Bodyguard, Sister Act, and Chess, as well as for winning The X Factor, will be joined by a cast of celebrated stage stars.
Ricardo Afonso (Jesus Christ Superstar, We Will Rock You) stars as Gomez Addams
Lesley Joseph (Birds of a Feather, Young Frankenstein) as Grandma
Clive Rowe (Guys and Dolls, Sister Act) as Uncle Fester
They are joined by:
Lauren Jones as Wednesday Addams
Nicholas McLean as Pugsley Addams
Dickon Gough as Lurch
Dale Rapley as Mal Beineke
Kara Lane as Alice Beineke
Jacob Fowler as Lucas Beineke

A Darkly Comic Musical Full of Heart
The Addams Family: The Musical Comedy features a book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice (Jersey Boys) and music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa. The show reimagines Charles Addams’ beloved characters in a brand-new story centred on Wednesday Addams, who has fallen in love with a young man from a respectable family. As the two families meet over dinner, chaos—and comedy—ensues.
With its clever writing, catchy songs, and sharp choreography, the show offers something for loyal fans and newcomers alike.
