Act 1 Arts Opens in Bushey with Free Disney-Themed Workshop This September
Danny Becker, currently starring in Operation Mincemeat in the West End, is launching a brand-new performing arts school in his hometown of Bushey, North London. The school, Act 1 Arts, is set to open its doors on 7 September 2025 with a free Disney-themed workshop for aspiring performers aged 7–18.
With a career spanning West End musicals, international tours, film, television and concert work, Becker now turns his attention to nurturing the next generation of talent. Act 1 Arts reflects his personal mission to give back to the community that helped shape his success.
From Disney Prince to Mentor
Becker’s extensive stage credits include roles in Frozen, Aladdin, The Prince of Egypt, The Light in the Piazza, Kinky Boots, Chicago, Singin’ in the Rain, and The Who’s Tommy. He trained at The BRIT School and ArtsEd, and has also appeared on screen in Rocketman, The Theory of Everything, and multiple ITV broadcasts including All Star Musicals and The Olivier Awards.
As founder and principal of Act 1 Arts, Becker brings with him not only professional expertise but also a genuine passion for mentoring young artists.
“Big dreams can come true — just like mine did,” says Becker. “Act 1 Arts is here to help make that happen for the next generation.”
What Act 1 Arts Offers
Act 1 Arts will provide weekly classes in musical theatre, combining acting, singing, and dance in a supportive and professional setting. Sessions are taught by industry experts and include appearances by guest performers from top West End productions.
The school is open to young people aged 7 to 18 and aims to build both stage skills and personal confidence, offering high-quality training that is also accessible and inclusive.
Free Launch Workshop – 7 September

To mark the official launch of Act 1 Arts, Becker will lead a free one-day Disney workshop on Sunday 7 September. Participants will explore songs and scenes from Aladdin and Frozen — two shows in which Becker himself starred as Aladdin and Kristoff, respectively.
Designed to be inspiring and fun, the workshop offers young performers a chance to train with a real West End Disney star while getting a first taste of Act 1’s dynamic teaching style. Places are limited and booking is essential.
📍 Location: Bushey, Hertfordshire
🎭 Ages: 7–18
With his West End credentials and commitment to community impact, Danny Becker’s Act 1 Arts is set to become a standout destination for young performers in North London.
