The acclaimed musical Hadestown has revealed its new cast for its second year in London's West End, with performances beginning March 11, 2025. The production, which weaves together ancient Greek myths with contemporary American folk music, will welcome several distinguished performers to its company at the Theatre Royal Haymarket.

New Leading Players

Desmonda Cathabel will step into the role of Eurydice, while Olivier Award nominee Victoria Hamilton-Barritt joins as Persephone. Chris Jarman takes on the role of Hades, and Cedric Neal will portray Hermes. Dylan Wood continues his acclaimed performance as Orpheus.

Supporting Cast

The production's distinctive trio of Fates will now comprise Melanie Bright and Lauran Rae alongside returning cast member Allie Daniel. The Workers chorus welcomes Femi Akinfolarin, Michelle Andrews, Ollie Bingham, Laura Delany, and Sebastian Lim-Seet.

Production Details

Rachel Chavkin continues to direct the production, with David Neumann's original choreography. The creative team remains unchanged, featuring Rachel Hauck's scenic design, Michael Krass's costumes, and Bradley King's lighting design.

Special Film Recording

Before the new cast takes over, the production will welcome back its original Broadway stars for a limited, sold-out season later this month. These performances will be captured on film, preserving this celebrated interpretation for future audiences.

Hadestown has resonated deeply with London audiences, and the new company is expected to bring fresh perspectives to Anaïs Mitchell's timeless story while maintaining the production's signature blend of mythology and contemporary relevance.

The musical, which has earned three WhatsOnStage Award nominations, continues to play to enthusiastic audiences at the Theatre Royal Haymarket. Tickets for the new cast's performances are now on sale.
