Le Brighton Fringe annonce les lauréats des prix 2017

La production de Urinetown par le Brighton Little Theatre

Les spectacles et performers remarquables de cette année au Brighton Fringe ont été annoncés lors des prix annuels du festival.

Parmi les 24 prix décernés, les gagnants incluent la production de la comédie musicale Urinetown par le Brighton Little Theatre Company (en photo), Ingo’s War par le Ditto Theatre Company, Bug Camp par Paul Macauley de Broken Silence Theatre, et la production d'Agamemnon par les Windmill Young Actors.

Le spectacle pour enfants The Tale of the Cockatrice par Mumblecrust Theatre a remporté deux prix : celui de Best Newcomer à Brighton Fringe et le International Youth Arts Festival (IYAF) : Meilleur spectacle enfants et famille du Brighton Fringe.

Parmi les autres gagnants, on trouve Cinebra: A History of Horror, qui a gagné 2 500 £ pour faire une tournée dans un festival Fringe international dans le cadre du Pebble Trust International Touring Award.

Teatro Pomodoro a également remporté l'opportunité de se produire à l'étranger. La compagnie, qui faisait partie du programme Brighton Fringe Window pour les nouvelles œuvres exceptionnelles, a été sélectionnée pour se produire dans deux Fringes du “réseau nordique” : Bergen, Göteborg, Reykjavik et Stockholm l'année prochaine.
