What is Room on the Broom about?

Room on the Broom is an enchanting stage adaptation of the beloved picture book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler. A friendly witch and her cat fly through the sky on a broomstick, picking up new animal friends along the way: a dog, a bird, and a frog. When the witch loses her hat, bow, and wand, her new companions help recover them. But there is only so much room on the broom, and when a dragon appears, it will take all of them working together to save the day.

Why see Room on the Broom?

Brought to life by the Tall Stories Theatre Company, this production has delighted families for years with its inventive puppetry, catchy songs, and faithful adaptation of one of the most popular children's books ever written. The running time of 55 minutes is perfectly judged for young audiences. The production manages to be theatrical and visually striking while remaining gentle enough for the very youngest theatregoers. It is a perfect first theatre experience for children.
