All aboard for Mozart's hilarious relationship test! ENO's acclaimed production transports the action to 1950s Coney Island complete with fairground rides and circus acts. Book Così fan tutte tickets for Phelim McDermott's witty and whimsical staging at London Coliseum.
All women are the same, right? Not to be trusted! Well, meddling Don Alfonso seems to think so. In fact, he's so certain, he's putting his money on it. Determined to prove his point, he persuades his two friends Ferrando and Guglielmo to put their fiancées' loyalty to the ultimate test.
The plans are set, and the bet is made. The men will pretend to be called away to war but instead will return in disguise and have 24 hours to attempt to seduce each other's sweethearts – Fiordiligi and Dorabella – who are unwittingly enjoying a fun day out at the fair. Will heads be turned? Can there be any winners? There's only one way to find out! Book Così fan tutte tickets for Mozart's sparkling comedy of manners at the London Coliseum!
Multi-award-winning director Phelim McDermott (Artistic Director of Improbable) transports the action from 18th century Naples to 1950s Coney Island, with fairground rides and a 12-strong skills ensemble of circus performers forming the backdrop to Mozart's romantic twists and turns. The production features sword-swallowing, acrobatics and fire-eating!
First staged in 2014 and last revived in 2022, this acclaimed production returns with an exciting new cast conducted by Dinis Sousa (Principal Conductor of Royal Northern Sinfonia). Co-produced with the Metropolitan Opera, New York.
Fans of Mozart and comic opera may also enjoy other ENO productions at the London Coliseum including HMS Pinafore.
Cancellation policy: theatre tickets cannot be cancelled, exchanged, or refunded once purchased.
Samantha Clarke stars as Fiordiligi, with Bethany Horak-Hallett as Dorabella, Joshua Blue as Ferrando, Darwin Prakash as Guglielmo, Andrew Foster-Williams as Don Alfonso, and Ailish Tynan as Despina. A 12-strong skills ensemble performs circus acts including sword-swallowing, acrobatics and fire-eating. The cast is joined by the Orchestra of ENO.
