A Landmark Revival of the Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber Classic at the London Palladium

Hollywood star Rachel Zegler is set to make her West End debut in the title role of Eva Perón in a bold new production of Evita, reimagined by director Jamie Lloyd. The revival of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s legendary musical will run at the London Palladium from 14 June to 6 September 2025, with an official opening on Tuesday 1 July.

A Star Is Born: Zegler as Evita

Zegler, best known for her Golden Globe-winning role in West Side Story and her recent performance in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, takes on one of musical theatre’s most iconic roles.

“Evita has been such an important musical to me since I was a little girl,” Zegler shared.
“To bring Jamie Lloyd’s visionary ideas to life is an honour unlike any other.”

Jamie Lloyd, whose critically acclaimed productions have included Sunset Blvd., Cyrano de Bergerac, and A Doll’s House, added:

“Rachel is a phenomenal talent. I’m thrilled to be working with her on this landmark production.”

A Musical Masterpiece Reimagined

Evita tells the gripping true story of Eva Perón, the ambitious First Lady of Argentina, who rose from poverty to become a powerful political figure and enduring cultural icon.

Featuring some of musical theatre’s most unforgettable songs, including:
🎵 Don’t Cry for Me Argentina
🎵 Oh What a Circus
🎵 Another Suitcase in Another Hall
🎵 You Must Love Me (Oscar-winning track added for the 1996 film)

Affordable Access for All

In a commitment to accessibility, the producers have announced that 5,000 tickets priced at £25 will be available for under-30s, key workers, and those receiving government benefits, across all areas of the theatre. These tickets will be released at a later date.
