Mischief Theatre Brings Festive Chaos with Christmas Carol Goes Wrong

A Hilariously Disastrous Take on a Christmas Classic

Mischief, the multi-award-winning comedy troupe behind The Play That Goes Wrong, is set to bring their signature theatrical mayhem to the West End and UK audiences this holiday season with Christmas Carol Goes Wrong. This brand-new festive production will launch with a limited 7-week season at the Apollo Theatre from 6 December 2025 to 25 January 2026, followed by a UK tour through March 2026.

UK Tour & West End Dates Announced

The production kicks off its UK tour on 2 November 2025 at the Lowry in Salford, before visiting:

The West End run at the Apollo Theatre runs from 6 December 2025 to 25 January 2026, with a special Gala Performance on 14 December 2025. The tour then resumes, bringing festive chaos to:

What to Expect from Christmas Carol Goes Wrong

The Cornley Amateur Drama Society is back, and this time they’ve set their sights on Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. But, as with every Cornley production, things quickly spiral into disaster. Expect fumbled lines, missing actors, collapsing sets, and on-stage feuds, all while the group desperately tries to bring Scrooge’s tale of redemption to life.

Jonathan Sayer, one of the show’s creators, said:

“We can’t wait to bring a new Goes Wrong title to the stage. It’s been tremendous fun revisiting the Cornley characters, and we are looking forward to sharing the show with audiences over the festive period.”
