What is A Christmas Carol about?
Charles Dickens' immortal tale follows the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge on Christmas Eve as he is visited by the ghost of his former business partner Jacob Marley and three spirits: the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Yet to Come. Through these supernatural encounters, Scrooge confronts the consequences of his greed, selfishness, and isolation, and discovers that it is never too late to change. The story has been adapted for the stage countless times, and London offers some of the finest productions in the world.
Why see A Christmas Carol in London?
London is Dickens' city, and seeing A Christmas Carol performed in the city where it was written and set adds a dimension no other location can offer. West End and immersive productions bring exceptional production values, powerful performances, and theatrical innovation to this beloved story. From the ghostly special effects to the warmth of the final transformation scene, live theatre makes Dickens' message about generosity and redemption deeply personal.
