Paul T Davies reviews What Does Stuff Do? playing at the Zoo Playground as part of the Edinburgh Fringe.
What Does Stuff Do?Zoo Playground, Edinburgh Fringe3 Stars Book Tickets I was looking for something different to see, and a kind of TED talk involving liquid manipulation, high-quality ping pong and juggling delivered by a man wearing only bathing trunks seemed to fit that bill! Robin Boon Dale's show is billed as a "circo oddessy" and questions exactly what stuff does, and the importance of negative spaces. I think. Charming and passionate about his subject, Dale is an excellent performer and juggler, really connecting with the audience. It's one for the science fans as, if I'm going to be honest, I'm still not sure what it was about! He would make a great science TV presenter, though with more clothes on, and it's certainly an entertaining hour! If this is your bag, go see!
