What is Amelie the Musical about?
Amelie brings the beloved 2001 French film to the musical stage. Set in Montmartre, Paris, the show follows Amelie Poulain, a shy young woman with a vivid imagination who decides to dedicate her life to making others happy. When she discovers a hidden box of childhood treasures and returns it to its owner, she sets off a chain of good deeds that transforms the lives of everyone around her. But can she find the courage to pursue her own happiness?
Why see Amelie the Musical?
The stage adaptation captures the whimsy, charm, and visual inventiveness of the film through clever theatrical storytelling. The production uses puppetry, projections, and imaginative stagecraft to create the magical world of Amelie's Paris. The score blends French chanson influences with contemporary musical theatre, and the ensemble cast brings the colourful Montmartre neighbours to life with warmth and wit. It is a show that makes the world feel a little more beautiful.
