About the show

Welcome to the Kit Kat Club. The Playhouse Theatre has been transformed into a decadent 1930s Berlin nightclub for this record-breaking, seven-time Olivier Award-winning revival. In a time when the world is changing forever, there is one place where everyone can be free. Featuring iconic songs including 'Willkommen', 'Maybe This Time', 'Money', and the unforgettable 'Cabaret'. Life is beautiful here.

What is Cabaret about?

Set in 1929 Berlin as the Nazis rise to power, Cabaret follows American writer Cliff Bradshaw and English nightclub singer Sally Bowles at the Kit Kat Klub, where the enigmatic Emcee presides over a world of decadent entertainment. As political darkness closes in, the characters must confront the cost of ignoring what is happening around them. Kander and Ebb's score includes Willkommen, Maybe This Time, Money Money, and the devastating title song.

Why see Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club?

The current West End production transforms the entire theatre into the Kit Kat Klub, creating an immersive experience from the moment you arrive. The role of the Emcee is one of the most extraordinary in musical theatre, and the contrast between the club's glittering surface and the horror growing outside makes for deeply powerful drama. Cabaret's themes of complicity, escapism, and the fragility of freedom have never felt more relevant. This is essential theatre.
