What is Beauty and the Beast the Musical about?

Disney's Beauty and the Beast brings the enchanted fairy tale to the West End stage. Belle, a bright and independent young woman, is taken prisoner by a fearsome Beast in his enchanted castle. With the help of the castle's magical staff (including the candlestick Lumiere, the clock Cogsworth, and the teapot Mrs Potts), Belle begins to see beyond the Beast's exterior and discovers the prince within. The beloved score by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman includes Be Our Guest, Beauty and the Beast, and Belle.

Why see Beauty and the Beast on stage?

The stage production of Beauty and the Beast is pure theatrical enchantment. The Be Our Guest sequence is one of the most spectacular production numbers in the West End, with lavish costumes, choreography, and stagecraft that brings the entire dining room to life. The transformation scene is genuinely magical on stage. For families, this is Disney storytelling at its finest: a tale as old as time performed with the scale and polish that only the West End can deliver.
