We spoke to Jac Yarrow about his career so far and what he's doing to keep creative during the pandemic.

1) What was your first ever show that you did as a kid and what was it that got you into the theatre world?

The first show I did, that wasn’t a school concert, was Into The Woods when I was around eight or nine. I played Jack and got to sing “Giants In The Sky”. I remember being really nervous singing in public for the first time, but the excitement of being on stage and the buzz from the audience is what I fell in love with. That’s why I pursued theatre.

2) What are you working on now?

Right now I’m preparing to return to the role of Joseph at the London Palladium in the summer of 2021. It was rescheduled from this year due to Covid-19. I also feature in the BAFTA-winning series In My Skin, which aired on BBC1 and iPlayer recently and is now showing on Hulu in the US.

3) How are you keeping creative in lockdown?

I’ve been watching a lot of great new series and films whilst in lockdown, learning by the example of some brilliant actors. I’m also working out at home, and of course, singing as much as possible. It’s been an opportunity to reflect on my first year out of drama school and prepare to move forward into 2021.

4) What three things can we always find in your dressing room?

You’ll always find a lemongrass-scented diffuser, pictures of my family and friends, and usually some of the cast!

5) If your life were a musical, what would it be called?

So far, I guess it would be called A Series Of Fortunate Events.
