Taron Egerton withdraws from Cock West End Joel Harper-Jackson takes over

It was announced this morning that Joel Harper-Jackson will take over from Taron Egerton in the West End production of Mike Bartlett's Cock at the Ambassadors Theatre.

Joel Harper-Jackson will playing the role of M for the remainder of the season in Mike Bartlett's Cock following the withdrawal of Taron Egerton from the production.
In an announcement this morning director Marianne Elliott said "Joel is an absolute hero. He is a brilliant and gifted actor and stepped into the role at extremely short notice, Audiences have been standing and cheering and so am I"
Egerton who has been absent from the play having tested positive for COVID has withdrawn for personal reasons.
Co-star Jonathan Bailey commented:- "Joel is an immense talent and we couldn't be luckier to have him on board. I am proud to continue sharing the stage with him".
The understudies are: Dominic Holmes (John and M), Jessica Whitehurst (W) and John Vernon (F).
Joel Harper-Jackson’s theatre credits include Charlie Price in the UK tour of Kinky Boots, the UK tour of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, Jesus Christ Superstar at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre, Beautiful - The Carole King Musical at The Aldwych Theatre, Che in Evita at the Ljubljana Festival in Slovenia.
