Electrifying musical phenomenon Six the musical by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss was to become the first West End musical to resume performances across the U.K. with Utilita Live From The Drive-In. We have just received word that the tour has been cancelled.
TOUR CANCELLED 15/7/2020
Live Nation Entertainment’ have this afternoon announced that their Live From The Drive-In concert series that was to feature ‘SIX’, will no longer proceed as planned. Six the musical at the Drive-In had announced extra dates to go on sale today. These too are now cancelled.
“The latest developments regarding localised lockdowns mean it has become impossible for us to continue with the series with any confidence,“ they said in a statement.
‘SIX’ producers Kenny Wax, Wendy & Andy Barnes and George Stiles said: “This devastating news has come out of blue and hit us all for six. We are so sorry to disappoint the thousands of fans who have booked tickets and sold out many dates on the tour. It is also a sad day for our West End and UK Tour Queens who had already started rehearsals and our entire team of up to 60 people who were all working so hard to deliver a spectacular show.
“Despite the Government announcing Stage 3 of Culture Secretary Oliver Dowden’s road map permitting performances outdoors with an audience, the planned tour was due to visit 12 cities several of which have since been identified as emerging Covid infection hot spots.
“We know that ultimately there is nothing more important than the safety and wellbeing of our company and the Six Queendom. We look forward to better times.”
Full refunds will be issued directly to all ticket holders within the next 7 days from Ticketmaster.

Six the musical is a global phenomenon. It was first performed as a student production in a 100-seat room at Sweet Venue at the 2017 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. As the pandemic struck, SIX was playing to sold-out houses in London’s West End, across the UK and Australia, and had its opening night on Broadway on Thursday, March 12 cancelled when three hours before, the New York Governor shut down theatreland.
Six was nominated for five Olivier Awards including Best New Musical, won the WOS award for Best Musical 2020, performed on the results show of ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ and in front of thousands at West End Live.
Songs from the Six studio album are streamed on average 450,000 per day making it the second-highest streaming musical theatre recording in the world after ‘Hamilton’.
From Tudor Queens to Pop Princesses, the six wives of Henry VIII take to the mic in Six to tell their tales, remixing 500 years of historical heartbreak into a 75-minute celebration of 21st-century girl power. These Queens may have green sleeves but their lipstick is rebellious red.
