The Royal Court Theatre has announced an extension for the world premiere of Oli Forsyth’s Brace, Brace, directed by Daniel Raggett. Originally scheduled to run in the Jerwood Theatre Upstairs until 3 October, the play will now extend its run to 9 November 2024, with a press night on 9 October.

This intense drama, which explores the harrowing fallout of a plane hijacking, features performances by Phil Dunster (Ted Lasso), Craige Els (Just For One Day), and Anjana Vasan (We Are Lady Parts). A plane plummets from the sky, and Ray and Sylvia are among the survivors. As they return to the ground, the trauma of the hijacking takes a toll on their relationship. One shuts down emotionally, while the other becomes consumed by the event. This powerful narrative, crafted by Oli Forsyth and directed by Daniel Raggett, delves into the psychological aftermath of catastrophe.

Forsyth, recognized with the Jerwood New Playwright accolade, also received the inaugural Davidson PlayGC Bursary, highlighting his rising prominence in theatre. A post-show talk with Forsyth is set for 15 October. The production is presented in partnership with Mark Gordon Pictures.
