PlayInThePark undertake an Earnest endeavour in Beckenham Place Park

PlayInThePark is to present Oscar Wilde's The Importance Of Being Earnest at The Homestead Cafe in Beckenham Place Park  from 21-26 June 2021.

Formed by the Artistic team of Josephine Rattigasn and Scott Le Crass, PlayInThePark aims to create dynamic outdoor theatre productions across South East London and Kent, specialising in presenting uplifting classics with a fresh energy. Their first production will be Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest.

Audiences can enjoy Oscar Wilde's most endearingly popular play in the pleasure of the beautiful Beckenham Place park grounds. The first-ever outdoor theatre production performed here in the Courtyard.

The cast for The Importance Of Being Earnest includes Nick Wymer (Reverend Chasuble/Lane/Merriman), Gareth Kennerley (John Jack 'Earnest' Worthing), Matthew James Morrison (Algernon Moncrieff), Andrea Miller (Lady Bracknell), Adiza Shardow (Gwendolen Fairfax), Josephine Rattigan (Cecily Cardew) and  Shereener Browne (Miss Prism).

The Importance Of Being Earnest will be directed by Scott Le Cras (Director of Rose the play with Maureen Lipman)with assistant director Nicole Sawyerr .

PlayInThePark's debut production of Wilde's classic play will run at The Homestead Cafe, Beckenham Place Park from 21 - 26 June 2021 with matinees on 23 and 24 June.
