It was confirmed today by the producers that Marcus Collins has withdrawn from the UK tour of Joseph And The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat. A statement on behalf of Producer Bill Kenwright said "We have been advised by his agent that Marcus Collins has withdrawn from Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Marcus was contracted to appear from 3rd February up to 6th June 2015, but he did not show up for rehearsals and then subsequently withdrew altogether. Without ever performing. No reason has been given by Marcus or his management. As this is an ongoing matter, no further comment is available at this time. However, we are very pleased to confirm that the production continues as scheduled with Lloyd Daniels as Joseph and Matt Lapinskas as Pharaoh. Lloyd Daniels, having reached the final of The X Factor in 2009, then went on to perform in sold-out arenas across the UK and release his first single Suburbian Girl. Matt Lapinskas, famed for playing Anthony Moon in BBC1’s EastEnders and being a finalist in Dancing on Ice, plays the role of the Pharaoh."
