Kinky Boots on Broadway. Photo: Matthew Murphy Hot on the heels of the rumour that The Elephant Man starring Bradley Cooper is London bound this summer comes the report that casting notices for the London production of Kinky Boots have been released.

The notice says that rehearsals are due to begin in July with first preview scheduled for August 21.2015.

Kinky Boots has been a massive hit on Broadway and on tour in the USA. The show has a Tony award winning score by Cyndi Lauper, book by Tony Award winning writer Harvey Fierstein and is directed by Tony Award Winning director and choreographer Jerry Mitchell. Based on the British film of the same name, Kinky Boots is the story of Charlie Price who inherits the family shoe factory on his father's death only to discover it is on the verge of bankruptcy. Looking for a solution Charlie finds Lola and a unique niche market he never knew existed. Together the unlikely pair save the factory from bankruptcy and discovers that when you change your mind about somebody, you can change the whole world.
