Kinky Boots is just one of the shows performing on Christmas Day

As we settle into our Christmas Day schedules with family here in the UK, spare a thought for our Broadway counterparts, many of whom are performing in shows today.

A massive 17 Broadway shows will perform today (Thursday 25th December) many at 7pm or 8pm, including Cinderella, Disgraced, Honeymoon in Vegas, Jersey Boys, Kinky Boots, Les Miserables, On the Town, Side Show, Beautiful, Chicago, The Elephant Man, Matilda, Mamma Mia!, The Phantom of the Opera, Pippin, Rock of Ages, Wicked and Motown.

Last year in the holiday season over 1 million people saw a Broadway show grossing $113.5 million according to the Broadway League.

Here at Britishtheatre.com we'd like to know if you would go to a show in the West End if they were open today? Is Christmas Day one day of the year which should be sacred when it comes to staying closed or is there an audience of tourists who should be considered?

Let us know your thoughts.
