RECENZJA: Show Off, The Pheasantry ✭✭✭✭
Nikki Aitken, przy akompaniamencie pianistki Simony Budd, zaprezentowała spektakl Show Off. Aitken to uznana w Australii artystka, wielokrotnie nagradzana za swoje programy kabaretowe. Już wkrótce powróci na Antypody, by dołączyć do obsady trasy koncertowej musicalu Amity Dry pt. „Mother, Wife and the Complicated Life”. Nikki spełnia się również jako kompozytorka – tworzy nie tylko numery rewiowe, ale i większe formy, czego dowodem jest autorski musical „GO!”. Produkcja ta doczekała się świetnie przyjętych warsztatów podczas zeszłorocznego festiwalu Camden Fringe, co zresztą relacjonował na naszych łamach Stephen Collins. Sądząc po ostatnim występie, Aitken jedynie utwierdziła nas w przekonaniu o swoim ogromnym talencie. Najświeższe wieści z brytyjskich scen od 1999 roku.
