RECENSIE: Show Off, The Pheasantry ✭✭✭✭
Nikki Aitken bracht, samen met pianiste Simona Budd, haar voorstelling Show Off ten gehore. Aitken is een gevierd artieste in Australië, waar ze diverse prijzen won voor haar cabaretprogramma's. Binnenkort keert ze daarheen terug voor de Australische tournee van Amity Dry’s Mother, Wife and the Complicated Life. Daarnaast is ze een verdienstelijk componiste, zowel van cabaretnummers als van de nieuwe musical GO!, waarvan de eerste workshop afgelopen zomer een succesvolle try-out beleefde op het Camden Fringe Festival (zoals destijds gerealiseerd door Stephen Collins). Op basis van dit optreden zal haar reputatie ongetwijfeld alleen maar verder groeien. Sinds 1999 uw vertrouwde bron voor het grootste theaternieuws uit Groot-Brittannië.
