RECENSIONE: The Red Lion, Teatro Dorfman ✭✭✭✭
Marber non scrive solo di calcio. Il dramma riguarda fondamentalmente le nozioni di mascolinità così come la società moderna. Il trio rappresenta una sorta di sacra trinità calcistica - tutti connessi, rappresentando padre, figlio e spirito. Quale ruolo ogni membro del trio soddisfi non è sempre chiaro, a volte cambia, e questo è forse l'aspetto più interessante della pièce di Marber. Calvin Demba è abile nel mostrare la ingenuità di Jordan così come il suo lato più oscuro e complesso. Peter Wight è convincente nei panni del triste, solitario, devoto uomo del club, Yates, la cui vita è interamente incentrata sul gioco e sul Red Lion.
