VIDEO: Tina Fey Joins The Cast Of Mean Girls Broadway – Maybe Not!

With many Broadway show composers and writers joining the casts of their own shows, it’s not surprising that Tina Fey was inspired to join the Broadway cast of Mean Girls the musical (well for a while anyway).

Acclaimed writer and performer was inspired by the likes of Sara Bareilles and Lin-Manuel Miranda (both of whom have written and starred in their own Broadway musicals) to take to the stage for a limited time in her new musical Mean Girls.

Inspired by the hit film of the same name which she wrote, the crew from Saturday Night Live followed her progress. Sad to say her Broadway dream has been put on the backburner for the moment anyway!

If you loved Legally Blonde, you’ll love Mean Girls the musical.

Mean Girls the musical on Broadway is being directed and choreographed by Casey Nicholaw whose has a reputation for staging some of the most popular musicals in recent years including the award-winning productions of The Drowsy Chaperone, The Book Of Mormon, Something Rotten, Disney’s Aladdin and Dreamgirls now on stage in London’s West End.
