Victoria Hamilton-Barritt cast as Stepmother in Lloyd-Webber’s Cinderella

Victoria Hamilton-Barritt has been cast as Cinderella’s stepmother in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s new musical Cinderella.

It was announced today that the fabulous Victoria Hamilton-Barritt is to show off her questionable parenting skills in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s new musical version of Cinderella.

Victoria tweeted today:- “My dreams of being a Fairytale villain has been answered! I can’t wait to be part of getting Cinderella into the West End. A beautiful story with bite, edge and writing and songs that will have you hooked! Bring on our summer of excitement and positive energy..x”

The Olivier Award-winner has performed in the original West End production of Flashdance as Alex, Gypsy at the Leicester Curve as Louise/ Gypsy, A Chorus Line at the London Palladium as Morales, In The Heights at Southwark Playhouse and The King’s Cross Theatre as Daniela, Michael John LaChiusa’s The Wild Party at The Other Palace as Kate and in Murder Ballad at the Arts Theatre as The Narrator.

Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cinderella promises a complete reimagining of the beloved fairytale when it opens in the West End in October 2020.

With a brand new score by Andrew Lloyd Webber, lyrics by David Zippel and a script by Emerald Fennell, Cinderella starts previews at the Gillian Lynne Theatre from 9 October 2020.
