History of The Other Palace Theatre

The St. James Theatre opened on 18th September 2012; the first new theatre in central London for 30 years. The building was constructed on the site of the Westminster Theatre, which burned down in 2002. The St James Theatre was renamed The Other Palace when Andrew Lloyd Webber bought the venue in 2016. As well as the main theatre space, the building also holds a small studio space, with a varied program that changes nightly. The theatre also has a full broadcast TV facility, which has allowed shows to be broadcast on satellite television and the Internet.
