I recently took my wife here to see a George Michael tribute act/concert. Overall the experience was a positive one, the act was very good with excellent central seats for a great view. The theatre itself is perhaps a little dated but it’s still a nice venue. If you’ve not been before I would strongly recommend you arrive early or familiarise yourself with the car parking and route in! Toilets were found to be clean both before and after the show which was a surprise as sometimes these types of venues can be overloaded with people needing the loo especially on exit - but if all good!
The theatre is located in the Victoria Centre, a very large department store complex with many shops. The theatre has two bars (also serving coffee) and clean toilets. There are no bad seats; you have a good view of the stage from everywhere. We saw the Kinks musical ‘Sunny Afternoon’. It was excellent.
So fortunate to have such a wonderful theatre so close. Always have an enjoyable time there. Plenty of bars with reasonably priced drinks. Never find it to overwhelming with the volume of people. Most seats have a good view also.
Great theatre with plenty of leg room so you don't feel squashed in. The only issue we had was that when you arrive outside the venue, the lobby has 'Ambassador' above the door. If it's your first visit, like ours, you could easily miss it and walk by. We knew we were at the right place as we spotted some large info boards for the show through the windows. Good areas to wait pre performance and during the interval. Bar staff could be a bit more attentive to who was there first as there isn't a queuing system.
