What visitors say
The Hen & Chickens Theatre Bar is a cozy and vibrant spot combining live theatre with a great bar atmosphere. The performances are engaging and often experimental, making each visit unique. The staff are friendly, and the drinks menu offers a good selection. It’s a perfect place to enjoy offbeat shows in an intimate setting while sipping on quality cocktails or beers. A hidden gem for those who love arts and nightlife combined.
Lovely smaller, often very busy pub especiallyon match days, with fantastic service. No long waits for the pint, unnecessary queuing and waiting. Beer is well looked after and pints are tasting as they should. Both Lukas and Nadine and allnstaff always welcome you with smiles and you feel welcomed and home quickly, blend in with the regular guests without trying. The theatre adds an interesting extra to the atmosphere and I recommend to see often fantastic performances and acting. Added value here is that if you wish you can catch up with actors after the performance and have a chance to praise them or just chat to them afterwards over a drink. I enjoy coming here and if you haven’t visited yet you should. 5 stars in my books without hesitation. Great location near the tube and buses. Keep up the good work guys! 👌
Solid usually there as my go-to match-day pub with a great vibe. Beers always on point, the bar staff are efficient and friendly. Ticket only entry on match-day with security it's lively but easy enough to navigate. When the sun is out, nice spots on the pavement outside. Special shout out to Nadine, always makes us feel welcome.
A fantastic place! We performed a stage play on the first floor and then had an absolutely wonderful time afterwards with the cast. It’s a great community environment with excellent customer service, and I couldn’t recommend it more. The team really went above and beyond—special thanks to Nadine and Anthony for their kindness and professionalism. Nadine even helped me with my jacket and made me feel truly welcome. An unforgettable experience all around!
