Stuff members are all friendly and welcoming. I went to see play recently and it was really good! I wish more people were there to see it. Maybe they can make better marketing for their events and upcoming gigs.
2 Feb 2026 - I visit one of the studios for performance activities. The room has wall-to-ceiling mirroring along the width of one side which can be hidden with the curtain. The floor needs a minor repair and is unsuitable only for dancing en pointe. On cold days, activity alongside the full length of one side is uncomfortable because of the incredible heat coming from radiators positioned on one side. I am only in the room for an hour at a time and it can take a little while for radiators to cool, however, there are windows all along the top of one wall to let in cool air. I am not sure if changing rooms are available throughout the building, however, the studio has a small storage room within it with a curtained doorway. The men's toilet area is spacious and kept clean. Staff are friendly here. I feel reasonably secure on non-theatre performance days when entry is by door buzzer and signed entry is requested. There is a small cosy bar area at street level. This is staffed during performance days only, however, drinking water is available.
I went to watch a theatre production with my kids and was pleasantly surprised at the Cockpit. They had a lovely atmosphere, jazz playing, comfortable seating in the waiting area plus great coffee. The show was great and very entertaining to kids and adults alike. Will definitely visit and highly recommended to all.
Situated about 10 mins on foot from Marylebone Station, The Cockpit facilitates Jazz in the Round; last Monday of every month, apart from August and December. Up and coming talent, refining their performance skills in front of a live audience. Jazz enthusiast will enjoy this event.
