Full casting has been announced for upcoming musical The Go-Between.  Based on the classic novel by L. P. Hartley and adapted by David Wood, The Go-Between is a new musical with a score written by Richard Taylor.

Michael Crawford returns to the West End to play Leo Colston. He will be joined by Issy Van Randwyck (Fascinating Aida)  in the role of Mrs Maudsley.

The iconic roles of Ted and Marian, the lovers who embark on a forbidden affair and for whom Leo acts as the go-between, will be taken by Stuart Ward, who played the lead ‘Guy’ in Once in both the UK and USA, and Gemma Sutton, who most recently starred in the hugely-acclaimed production of Gypsy in the West End.

Other cast members include Julian Forsyth, Stephen Carlile, Silas Wyatt-Barke, Jenni Bowden, John Addison, Luka Green, William Thompson, Johnny Evans Hutchinson, Archie Stevens, Matty Norgren, Samuel Menhinick, Jane Quinn, Jessica Duncan, Robert Traynor and Michael Colbourne.

The young Leo Colston will be played in alternation by Luka Green, William Thompson and Johnny Evans Hutchison.

The Go-Between is being produced by Greene Light Stage and Bill Kenwright.

The Go-Between starts previews on 27 May 2016

REVIEW: The Go-Between, Apollo Theatre ✭✭

Apparently The Go-Between started life as a play, and for once the book here, written by David Wood, is not the problem here. The Go Between fails because of its score, which fails at every hurdle. If you are going to The Go-Between to hear Michael Crawford perform Phantom(ish) songs you will be sorely disappointed.
