After thirty-five years of haunting the Majestic Theatre, Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom Of The Opera will close tonight - Saturday 16th April 2023.

The Phantom Of The Opera is Broadway's Longest Running Musical seen by an audience of over 20 million people over nearly 14,000 performances, that's an incredible 35 years! The acclaimed musical was created by Andrew Lloyd Webber (Music, Book, Orchestrations), Charles Hart (Lyrics), Richard Stilgoe (Additional Lyrics and Book) and was was directed by Harold Prince, with musical staging and choreography by Gillian Lynne and production design by Maria Bjornson. The production also features sound design by  Martin Levan and Mick Potter, and lighting design by Andrew Bridge.

To celebrate the closing of this phenomenal musical we're accumulating some of the coverage from Broadway to show what it is like to close a hit musical after 35 years.
