What is Magic Goes Wrong about?

Magic Goes Wrong is a collaboration between Mischief Theatre (creators of The Play That Goes Wrong) and Penn and Teller, the legendary magic double act. A hapless group of magicians attempt to stage a charity fundraiser, but every trick goes spectacularly wrong. Swords miss their targets, disappearing acts go awry, and the fundraising total goes in the wrong direction. The result is a hilarious evening that combines Mischief's genius for theatrical disaster with genuine magic expertise.

Why see Magic Goes Wrong?

The combination of Mischief Theatre's comic timing with Penn and Teller's understanding of magic creates something unique: you never know whether what you are watching is a real trick, a fake trick that goes wrong, or a fake failure that is actually a real trick. The layers of deception and comedy are brilliantly constructed, and the physical comedy is as precise and hilarious as anything Mischief have produced. If you enjoy magic, comedy, or simply spectacular live entertainment, this is unmissable.
