Selling tickets to amateur theatre productions is always a challenge to groups around the country. The Little Theatre Guild recently undertook a box office poll and declared the Summerseat Players in Ramsbottom as number one in terms of box office sales after raising the curtain to record audiences.
The group achieved a season average of around 93 per cent for the last two years which is a target that most theatre companies professional or amateur would envy.
Douglas Mayo has had a life long love affair with musical theatre. He has authored several books on publicity and marketing for amateur theatre groups. He is in the process of developing a musical based on his original story concept.
