Sheffield Theatres Coriolanus - Full Casting Announced

Full casting has been announced for Sheffield Theatre's production of Coriolanus to be adapted and directed by Robert Hastie in March 2020.
Tom Bateman to star as Coriolanus. Sheffield Theatres today announces the full cast for Robert Hastie’s new production of Coriolanus. The production follows his critically acclaimed productions of Julius Caesar and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Joining previously announced cast member Tom Bateman are Hermon Berhane, Mudassar Dar, Stella Gonet, Esther McAuley, Remmie Milner, Theo Ogundipe, Louis J Rhone, Eddie-Joe Robinson, Kate Rutter, Malcolm Sinclair, Katy Stephens, Ben Wiggins and Alex Young. The company is completed by members of Sheffield People’s Theatre, Sheffield Theatres’ intergenerational theatre company.
‘What is the city but the people?’
Celebrated super soldier Coriolanus is propelled to power, only to lose the trust of the people. Torn down from his pedestal, banished at the height of his fury, he unites with an old enemy to bring down the city he once fought for.
Coriolanus is directed and adapted by Sheffield Theatre's Artistic Director Robert Hastie, set design by Ben Stones, costumes design by Sally Wilson, lighting design by Lucy Carter, music composition by Richard Taylor, sound design by Emma Laxton, fight direction by Renny Krupinski, assistant direction by Connie Treves and Casting by Vicky Richardson.
Coriolanus will be presented at the Crucible Theatre, Sheffield from 6 - 28 March 2020.
