2 Become 1 is a new pop musical which explores the impact of the sexual revolution of girl power and how the way men and women date has now evolved from it.

It’s the late ‘90s – Titanic, Brad and Jen, Mr Big, Bridget Jones and Things Can Only Get Better, Jess has just been dumped by her perfect man, and bored of her weeping into her Haagen-Dazs, Jess’s friends take her out. With an infectious soundtrack of female pop icons of the ‘90s, and a dance routine or two along the way, crack open the Bacardi Breezers and don the platform trainers to follow Jess, Amanda, Molly and Charlie on a wild night of meeting Mr Wrongs and Mr Rights in this comedy pop-musical. “We really want to poke fun at the perceived glamour and shallowness of ‘90s pop culture, but in a very affectionate way –it was a time when strong bonds between female friends were actively celebrated and this is our tribute to that. However, that’s not to say this is a show just for women –It was important to us that the show also includes the male perspective on dating so we interviewed men in local pubs to ask their frank opinions on how dating works, and these recordings will feature in the show.” Kerrie Thomason said. Created by Kerrie Thomason and Natasha Granger and inspired by the 90s music they grew up on, 2 Become 1 features songs from The Spice Girls, All Saints, B*Witched, Cher, Shania Twain, Britney and Christina. Following a sell-out run at Edinburgh Fringe, this year the girls are bringing the party back bigger and even better. Performed by Jesssica Brady, Eliza Hewitt-Jones, Natasha Granger and Kerrie Thomason

Produced by Swipe Right Theatre and Kings Head Theatre.

2 Become 1 runs from 3 December 2016 - 7 January 2017
