Menier's Fiddler On The Roof Transfers to Playhouse Theatre

Trevor Nunn's acclaimed production of Fiddler On The Roof will transfer from the Menier Chocolate Factory to London's Playhouse Theatre from 21 March 2019.

Photo: Johan Persson Direct from its sold-out run at the Menier Chocolate Factory, Tony and Olivier award-winning director Trevor Nunn’s revival of the classic Broadway musical Fiddler on the Roof transfers to the West End for a strictly limited run. The Playhouse Theatre will be specially transformed into an immersive space for this production. Fiddler On The Roof stars Andy Nyman and Judy Kuhn with further casting to be announced.

Old traditions and young love collide in this joyous and timely celebration of life. Tevye’s daughters’ unexpected choice of husbands opens his heart to new possibilities, as his close-knit community also feel winds of change blowing through their tiny village.

With a book by Joseph Stein and an  iconic score by Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick including ‘Tradition’, ‘Matchmaker, Matchmaker’, ‘Sunrise, Sunset’ and ‘If I Were a Rich Man’ Fiddler On The Roof will play at London's Playhouse Theatre for a strictly limited season from 21 March 2019.

Fiddler On The Roof is directed by Trevor Nunn, choreography by Jerome Robbins and Matt Cole, set design by Robert Jones, costume design by Jonathan Lipman, hair and make-up design by Richard Mawbey, lighting design by Tim Lutkin, sound design by Gregory Clarke, musical supervision by Paul Bogaev with orchestrations by Jason Carr.
