The Young Vic will launch a production of Tennessee William's Cat On A Hot Tin Roof direct to the West End's Apollo Theatre from 13 July 2017 starring Sienna Miller as Maggie and Jack O'Connell as Brick for a strictly limited twelve-week run. Cat On A Hot Tin Roof Tickets are now on sale.

This new production will be directed by Benedict Andrews, set designs are by Magda Willi with costume designs by Alice Babidge and lighting design by Jon Clark. Further casting is to be announced soon.

The truth hurts. On a steamy night in Mississippi, a Southern family gather at their cotton plantation to celebrate Big Daddy’s birthday. The scorching heat is almost as oppressive as the lies they tell. Brick and Maggie dance round the secrets and sexual tensions that threaten to destroy their marriage. With the future of the family at stake, which version of the truth is real – and which will win out?

The recipient of the Pulitzer Prize, Cat On A Hot Tin Roof received its world premiere at the Morosco Theatre on Broadway in 1955 with Barbara Bel Geddes and Ben Gazzara. The West End production directed by peter Hall starred Kim Stanley and Paul Massey whilst on the silver screen the 1958 Academy Award nominated film starred Elizabeth Taylor and paul Newman.
