Producers have announced that the eagerly anticipated revival of Hairspray the musical at the London Coliseum starring Michael Ball and Lizzie Bea will now open on 22nd June 2021.

Hairspray the musical will now return to London's West End from 22 June to 29 September 2021. The first four weeks of the season (22 June - 18 July) will play with social distancing and reduced capacity.

Hairspray ticketholders will be contacted by your ticket seller and given a priority booking window for exclusive performances which have been reserved for existing ticket holders only.

Michael Ball will reprise his Olivier Award-Winning turn as Edna Turnblad and Lizzie Bea as Tracy along with Marisha Wallace as Motormouth Maybelle.

Baltimore, 1962. Tracy Turnblad is a big girl with big hair and big dreams. Can she make it on the local TV dance show, win the heart of teen heartthrob Link Larkin and bring everyone together – whatever their colour, size or hairdo? Well if you want a change, you’ve really got to shake things up!

The announcement was made tonight via Hairspray's Twitter account
